The Fieldhouse located in Indian Boundary Park was built in 1929 and designed by Clarence Hatzfield. Now a City of Chicago Landmark, the building was extensively damaged by fire in 2012. Eifler & Associates was retained by the Chicago Park District to oversee the restoration of the building, which included the rebuilding of the roof structure, a new slate roof, restoration of interior plaster and wood finishes, lighting and electrical systems. The building was reopened in 2014, and continues to serve as a community center for local residents.
